Cardboard Creations

Learning Resource Pack

Developed & written by Ami Marsden With Beth Marsden and David Pitt

This resource pack will enable you and your class to explore the vast sculptural potential of cardboard in all its forms. Whether it’s recycling packaging or boxes collected from shops, this material has a hidden beauty in its layers which can be used to great effect.

Ripping, tearing and cutting card creates a host of different effects. Pieces of card can then be attached together using slots and tabs or using masking tape or a glue gun. This approach is very effective in everything from small scale artworks, all the way through to architectural installations, and is used by many renowned artists in Wales, Europe and across the world.
