I am currently a fine artist and an MRES student at university.

I favour the old masters such as Leonardo DaVinci, Botticelli and Caravaggio.  I like to cross-reference these with contemporary concepts and the low-brow movement that includes artists such as Mark Ryden, Nicoletta Ceccoli and Camille Rose Garcia.  Narrative is always present in my work as I enjoy story telling through a visual nature.  I also enjoy mixing traditional paint methods from the old masters with modern styles.

Portraiture has always been my passion, especially eyes which intrigue me greatly.  I am very interested in the human condition and exploring ways in which we see and experience life.

I have previously taught GCSE and A level fine art and graphic design at a high achieving school for 8 years.  I was also a head of faculty for the ARTS.  I gave up my position this year (2017) to pursue my own work and interests in higher education.  I am interested in both theory and practice in fine art and would be happy to deliver workshops that encourage the collaboration of this.
