Ami has been a self-employed sculptor for 13 years whose work covers a wide range of 2d and 3d skills through public and private commissions and school residencies.

Her public work is richly woven with conversations and stories from community groups and writing history from personal stories of the people. Ami’s work can be found across the UK and Ireland and she has been featured on many local television programs, being a fluent Welsh speaker.

Ami has worked in numerous schools across Wales running workshops and residencies and for the last two years has been a Creative Practitioner for the Lead Creative Schools scheme for the Arts Council. Her first two LCS projects have been adopted by the Arts Council as examples of good practice and are used as part of the promotional talks and materials on the wider program.

Since directing the Foundation Art and Design course in Carmarthen School of Art in 2008 she helped make the multi award winning mobile movie theatre Sol Cinema; part manages an environmental art group Sculpture by the Sea UK; works as a community artist, costume designer, outreach teacher and has build her own off-grid home on Gower.
