Creativity in the Curriculum – 5 April 2019
Arts Council of Wales would like to invite you to attend Creativity in the Curriculum – a free seminar being hosted as part of Let’s celebrate! Creative learning through the arts. This celebration event will showcase the wealth of learning that is surfacing as a result of Creative learning through the arts – an action plan for Wales: a groundbreaking programme jointly funded by Arts Council of Wales and Welsh Government.
Let’s celebrate! Creative learning through the arts is a series of free events taking place across 5 days in April, located in Cardiff Bay. It will highlight all areas of the programme; both the Lead Creative Schools Scheme and the All-Wales Arts and Education Offer including Creative Collaborations projects and the Regional Arts and Education Networks activity.
From 2 – 6 April 2019 there will be the opportunity to attend:
- Free training from our Lead Creative Schools Scheme and Regional Arts and Education Networks.
- Live examples highlighting the importance of bringing creativity into the classroom including; discussions, live activity, interactive activities, performances and exhibition work giving you the opportunity to engage directly with the work being delivered pan-Wales.
- Creativity in the Curriculum: a free seminar, bringing together a panel of experts to share understanding of developing creativity and the creative skills of our children and young people. Speakers will include Steve Davies (Director of Education at Welsh Government), Bill Lucas (Professor of Learning and Director of the Centre for Real Life), experts from the OECD/CERI, and Headteachers from across Wales.
